v1.9.5

Black bar cropping — a separate tab

  • Automatically finds solid bars along the edges (dark letterboxing of screen recordings, cinema format, frames) — thresholds are configurable.
  • Editor: full-resolution frame, red lines draggable with the mouse, precise numeric input and click on the preview.
  • Batch mode: folder scanning, a table with paddings, its own ignore list, saving to the same folder (_cropped) or to a chosen one (with or without structure), result lists can be saved and loaded.
  • Encodes with the built-in ffmpeg (H.264 + AAC) — audio is preserved, the file opens everywhere.

Speed: full hardware utilization

  • Hardware decoding: NVDEC/CUDA (NVIDIA), Quick Sync (Intel), DXVA (AMD) — HEVC/4K up to ~2× faster, H.264 goes through the CPU where it is faster.
  • The neural network runs on CUDA, frames are downscaled before analysis — same accuracy, higher speed.
  • Parallel processing across all CPU cores; pre-filters (size, duration, format, name) cut off the excess before comparison.

Comparison: frame gallery

  • Pair window: frames side by side, pager, counter, specification comparison with better/worse highlighting, deletion directly from the window.
  • Gallery of all frames with pagination, a "More frames" button (up to 100), clicking a column opens the frame in comparison.
  • Synchronized side-by-side viewing of two videos.
  • Neural network weights are downloaded once on first launch; if the network drops — a "Retry" dialog with a list of already downloaded models. After that — offline.

Order in results

  • Bulk deletion and moving of duplicates, deletion to the recycle bin first.
  • Search with highlighting (an empty query shows an empty list, not the old one), pagination, row context menu, list export, saving/loading results, folder blacklist.

Little things you feel

  • Hotkeys in a unified style Alt+1…Alt+7 (work in any layout), the list is in the F1 help.
  • Russian and English without mixing: interface, log, dialogs, errors.
  • Ads with labeling and a "Remove ads" button, license, update check, help for all features.

v1.1.1

In this version we added parallel processing across multiple CPU cores and reworked settings management.

Main feature — multi-threaded processing

  • You can now use all CPU cores for simultaneous frame analysis. This brings a noticeable speed boost:
  • pHash — up to 2–3× faster on large collections (especially noticeable when scanning hundreds or thousands of files).
  • CNN+Faiss — about 15–20% faster (neural networks already use the CPU intensively, but we squeezed out extra performance).
  • Enabled in the new "Scan Settings" window — just tick "Use multiple CPU cores".

Note the system load — it is recommended to close resource-heavy applications before starting a scan.

Convenient "Scan Settings" window

  • All parameters (frame count, neighborhood size, adaptivity, black bar cropping, similarity threshold, CNN model selection and parallel processing) are collected in one place.
  • The main window became cleaner and simpler.

UI and fixes

  • Improved interface and fixed errors — the app is more stable, navigation is more intuitive.

Especially useful for: owners of large video archives (hundreds and thousands of files) — you will notice the difference in scanning speed. The update is free for all users.

v1.0.3

What's new

  • Extended format support — the app now works with MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, as well as FLV, WEBM, M4V, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, OGV, TS, M2TS, VOB, DIVX, XVID, F4V, MTS.
  • 7-item context menu — right-click any file in the results: open in player, copy path, rename, mark/unmark, delete, compare with paired file, open folder. All the actions you need in one place.
  • Bitrate in video info — the bitrate value (in kbps) is now displayed under FPS with color indication: green — higher bitrate, red — lower. Helps you quickly decide which duplicate to keep.
  • Fixed an error in synchronized viewing — no more access issues when installing on the system drive.
  • Correct remaining time display during the comparison stage — the estimate is more accurate and no longer jumps.
  • Other minor improvements and fixes — cleaner code, more stable interface.

We recommend updating for everyone, especially if you work with rare formats or have previously encountered errors when starting synchronized viewing.
